The Australian jazz guitarist and composer Peter O'Mara is no stranger here in
Munich, where he has lived for over forty years. He has established himself as one of the most versatile
guitarists in Europe and has had many concerts and recordings with musicians such as Dave
Holland, Joe Lovano, Bob Mintzer, Kenny Wheeler, Randy Brecker, Charlie Mariano, Adam
Nussbaum, NDR Bigband and the United Jazz & Rock Ensemble. For over thirty years he was a permanent member of jazz legend Klaus Doldinger and his jazz rock group "Passport", with tours in Europe, Brazil, South Africa, Morocco and New Zealand.
Peter O'Mara is also a talented composer and arranger. His dream of arranging his own compositions for big band was fulfilled during the lockdown. On 09.12.22, his 65th birthday, was the premiere at the Jazzclub Unterfahrt.
Peter O'Mara has also published several books with the internationally renowned publishing house "Advance Music".
