Workshop Concert on 24 March 2023: Slide Hampton Project

A tribute to the recently deceased great musician, trombonist, arranger and composer Slide Hampton with whom Joe Haider (honorary member of the Jazz Institute) celebrated great successes in the 1970s.

Prof. Claus Reichstaller and Joe Haider, who lives in Switzerland, are re-releasing this project, which is unique in the jazz history of Munich/Germany and Europe, with a new line-up. The original titles from back then will be played, composed and arranged for a 12-piece band by Slide Hampton and Joe Haider!

The workshop will take place from 21 to 24 March and is a great opportunity for Jazz Institute students to experience an important part of jazz history live and participate in it themselves.
