Annual highlight of the HMTM Jazz Institute | Munich University Jazz Orchestra feat. Yumarya and Jerome Goldschmidt

On Wednesday, July 17, our Jazz Night took place again - for the second time in the Isarphilharmonie in the Gasteig HP8! The Jazznacht is the highlight of the annual program of the Jazz Institute of the Munich University of Music and Theater (HMTM).

The Munich University Jazz Orchestra, big band and figurehead of the Jazz Institute under the direction of Prof. Claus Reichstaller, filled the sold-out venue with Latin jazz. They were supported by two international star guests, the singer YUMARYA (Curacao) and the percussionist Jerome Goldschmidt (New York), as well as the legendary Latin jazz formation Salsafuerte.

Also taking part this year were the wonderful Jazz Institute vocal coach Sanni Orasmaa and Acoustic Hammer, a trio led by the outstanding jazz saxophone student Edi May. Prof. Claus Reichstaller was again responsible for the overall artistic direction this year.
